Abstract

This work introduces the Sentient-Consciousness Projection Network (SCPN), a comprehensive, 16-layer cybernetic architecture that formalises consciousness as a fundamental, physically-grounded, and teleologically-driven component of reality.

The framework is built upon three core axioms:

  1. The Axiom of Substance — positing a universal conscious scalar field (Ψ-field)
  2. The Axiom of Interaction — asserting that all couplings are governed by Information Geometry (the Fisher Information Metric, g_FIM)
  3. The Axiom of Evolution — defining the system's teleological drive as the optimisation of a Sustainable Ethical Coherence (SEC) Objective Functional (J_SEC)

Paper 0 operates as the foundation stone for Book II: it formalises the axioms, grammar and coupling logic that later papers instantiate per layer. Assertions are framed as hypotheses with falsifiable observables; status and versioning reflect a living research programme.

What is this paper about?

This paper builds the foundation for everything that follows. It answers one question: What if consciousness is not a byproduct of the brain, but a fundamental feature of reality — like gravity or electromagnetism?

To explore this, the paper proposes three rules (axioms) that the rest of the framework is built on. Think of them as the ground rules for a new kind of physics — one where awareness is part of the equation, not an afterthought.
