Sources

Every number on these pages traces to one of the documents below, either as a value the document prints or as a value the family's repository declares in its place and says so; where a printed value does not reproduce, the pages say so.

Laser ICF

R. S. Craxton et al., Direct-drive inertial confinement fusion: A review, Phys. Plasmas 22, 110501 (2015)
Eqs. 3–5: the ignition condition in four forms; the 1.5 MJ direct-drive design (1700 µm, 37 µm ablator, 160 µm ice, 0.35 µm, absorbed 0.95, η 0.067, IFAR 24.3, CR 23, adiabat 1.6, 215 Gbar, burnup 0.20, gain 48). The solid-DT density 0.25 g/cm³ used in the inventory tests is not printed by the review.

Beam ICF

D. D.-M. Ho, J. A. Harte, M. Tabak, UCRL-JC-118161 (1994), unlimited distribution
Fig. 1 capsule (2.34 / 2.12 / 1.8 mm; 1.85 / 0.25 / 0.0003 g/cm³); 430 MJ from 1 MJ absorbed; coupling 0.21; system gain 80; area ratio 0.075; 260 eV; 0.15 cm converter opening; 5, 7.5, 10 GeV.
D. A. Callahan-Miller, M. Tabak, UCRL-JC-131974 (1998), unlimited distribution
Focal spots 4.15 × 1.8 mm (2.7) and 2.78 × 1.0 mm (1.67); 8 and 16 beams per side; 3 and 4 GeV; gain cases (6.35 MJ → 370, 58), (7.4 → 413, 55), (3.3 → 436, 132), (5.9 → 390); range pairs (4 GeV, 0.035), (5.5, 0.05), (8, 0.08) g/cm².
R. O. Bangerter, A. Faltens, P. A. Seidl, Rev. Accel. Sci. Technol. 6, 85 (2013)
The cited driver-window review; behind a subscription, not on file, and nothing is read from it.

Impact ICF

Proceedings of the Impact Fusion Workshop, LA-8000-C (Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, 1979)
On file and freely published; a scan with an optical transcription, read at 170 dpi. Christiansen (printed p. 33): uranium plate 18.8 g/cm³ at 200 km/s on 1 cm², areal density 0.052, thickness 2.7×10⁻³ cm, 1.04 MJ/cm²; fuel slab 1 cm at 0.01 of 0.213 g/cm³, four states with ratios 0.01, 0.04, 0.10, 4.2, compressed to 2.3×10⁻³ cm; state 1 at 10 bar and 300 K. Marshall (printed p. 27): 1 mm sphere, tenfold radius, 2 g/cm²; printed 0.84 mg and "nearly 400 GJ" per gram, neither reproduced.
