Magneto-inertial and magnetised-target systems
Magneto-inertial fusion sits between the magnetic and inertial regimes: a pre-magnetised target is compressed on inertial time-scales while the embedded field suppresses thermal conduction and confines charged fusion products. MagLIF preheats the fuel with a laser inside an axial field and implodes a metal liner; plasma-jet liners and mechanical or liquid liners do the compression with matter; FRC compression collides or compresses field-reversed configurations, the route pursued by SCPN-MIF-Core.
Each device core below is the single owner of its reactor family's configuration truth inside the SCPN Reactor Systems research group. Solver mathematics stays in SCPN-Fusion-Core, shared physics and geometry kernels in SCPN Reactor Kernels; a device core consumes them through versioned seams and cannot actuate anything directly.
