Open and non-toroidal magnetic confinement
Open-field devices trade the closed torus for simpler geometry and accept that field lines leave the confinement region. Magnetic mirrors reflect particles from regions of stronger field; tandem mirrors add electrostatic end plugs and gas-dynamic mirrors operate collisionally. Cusp fields form from opposed currents with a central null where the field vanishes. The levitated dipole suspends a superconducting ring so the plasma sits in the ring's own dipole field.
Each device core below is the single owner of its reactor family's configuration truth inside the SCPN Reactor Systems research group. Solver mathematics stays in SCPN-Fusion-Core, shared physics and geometry kernels in SCPN Reactor Kernels; a device core consumes them through versioned seams and cannot actuate anything directly.
